3rd Child

So, the third child has arrived!! Everyone is very excited. The day of delivery arrived a week earlier than expected. My wife had an appointment with a specialist and during the consult she mentioned that she had not been feeling much ovement for a couple of days. The specialist decided this needed to be looked into further so a trip to the hospital was advised. Having been told to go to the hospital my wife decided she first needed to go to work and finish a few things off, then to her mothers to complete the staff wages (for which i'm sure they're grateful). 2 hours later we finally get to the hospital where we were expected much earlier and this is all after a quick stop off at Maccas for lunch as my wife was "really hungry"... to cut a long story short - turns out my wife was in labour - had been for a couple of days... she's (or maybe she'd - as we don't plan on having more children at this point - I think 3's enough) never actuallly had a "proper labour" as she calls it (not me) and hadn't realised the period pain like symptoms were actually contractions. So then i had to dash off madly back home as NOTHING was prepared, one would think as this was our third child and the second only arrived 17 months ago that we would be more prepared - but alas no. Grabbed some random things - waited for help to arrive to assist in looking after first born daughter and middle child. Raced back to the hospital amid seriously bad drivers. Arrived to find wife being prepped for surgery - a few minutes later and i would've been in BIG trouble.

Frederick James Kelton - arrived at 16:48 CST on the 28th of October 2011. Delivered by Caesarian Section at North Eastern Community Hospital. Weighing 3.060 kg (6 lb 12.5 oz).

He is now 2 weeks old and growing well. He has massive fingers and long narrow feet - his face looks very serious/grumpy but i'm sure he'll cuten up. We're hoping that he'll be rather tall as his figure is very long and thin right now - suggesting soccer, golf and tennis as that's where the big bucks are...

Seriously though, we are thrilled to announce his arrival and will endeavour to put a notice in the paper in the near future.
